Page Brooks, Senior Software Developer at ACS Technologies Is Awarded 2009 Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award

January 27, 2009, Florence, SC: ACS Technologies is proud to announce that Page Brooks, one of the company’s senior software developers, was recently awarded the 2009 Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for his efforts in MS Silverlight Device Application Development communities during the previous year.

"The Microsoft MVP award is presented annually to exceptional technical community leaders who demonstrate a passion for technology and a willingness to help others," stated Rich Kaplan, a vice president of customer service at Microsoft. "MVPs actively foster the free exchange of their real-world expertise by writing books, maintaining blogs, presenting in the developer community, and answering questions in technical newsgroups and message boards."

As the 2009 recipient of the Microsoft MVP Award, Brooks has also been invited to attend the MVP Global Summit in March at Microsoft’s corporate headquarters in Redmond, WA. At the summit he will have the opportunity to meet with Microsoft executives, product teams, and his fellow MVP peers from around the world.

In addition to being named a Microsoft MVP, Brooks is also a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer whose specialties include ASP.NET, C#, and Enterprise Architecture. An active speaker in the developer community, Brooks can be heard at events in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
