FLORENCE, SC, December 08, 2006—ACS Technologies™, the leading information management solution provider for churches, schools and other faith-based organizations, has been named one of the largest companies in South Carolina in the 2006 Grant Thornton South Carolina 100 rankings. The Grant Thornton South Carolina 100 is a list ranking the largest privately held companies in the state. Under the direction of Mark Ballew, Assurance Partner in the Columbia office of the country’s fifth largest accounting firm, and with the cooperation of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the list has been compiled for the twenty-second year.

The companies listed will be featured in the South Carolina Business Review. These one hundred companies significantly contribute to the economy of South Carolina. Total revenues of companies listed increased by nearly $5 billion for a total of $19.8 billion this year compared to $15 billion last year. Thirty-two of the companies listed are manufacturing companies. Milliken and Company of Spartanburg, SC, remained in the number one post. ACS Technologies was one of sixteen companies named to the list for either the first time or after an absence, and was ranked 98th.

Companies that participate in the Grant Thornton South Carolina 100 do so on a voluntary basis. The companies are ranked according to their net revenues from the most recent fiscal year and must be held privately. They must also be headquartered in the state and not controlled by any other company. Insurance companies, financial institutions, real estate and other brokerages as well as healthcare organizations and primarily retail companies are not eligible for the list.
