ACS 2006 Offers Church Management Software Clients Improved Database Security, Product Stability and Customization
FLORENCE, SC, December 2006 — ACS Technologies™ (www.acstechnologies.com), the leading provider of information management solutions for churches, schools and faith-based organizations today announces the latest edition of its powerful church management software, ACS 2006™. With enhancements geared towards security, product stability and customization, ACS 2006 is the most widely-used church management software worldwide.
ACS 2006, which went into the planning stages nearly a year and a half ago, improves the overall look and feel of the program, increases usability, offers increased database security and product stability as well as various other enhancements including customization and special function options.
“Using the new customization functions within ACS can really enhance the user experience,” comments Steve Cumbia executive director of Research and Development for ACS Technologies. “Each church has unique needs, that’s why we’re encouraging ACS users not to be afraid, but to experiment with the new features.”
ACS 2006 brings about several security enhancements. Now, only ACS applications can be used to gain access to ACS-held data. Users will now have access to the ACS database via third party applications such as Crystal Reports and MS Access to create ad hoc reports. With the release of ACS 2006 comes the foundation for many new meaningful products and features in the future.
Grids in the ACS Financial and People Suites now contain a Customize option available via right clicks. Based on the specific function of the grid, various options are available:
- The ability to add/drop fields from the grid giving more flexibility to layout
- The ability to auto size column width which provides a cleaner and easier to read view
- The ability to wrap text which is useful when displaying comments
- The ability to enable Excel-style filtering which is a powerful feature that allows filtering by any combination of columns in the grid
