Elmbrook Church - Wisconsin

Elmbrook Church, a non-denominational church with over 32,000 members, is the largest church in Wisconsin and the second largest church in the Midwest. With over 250 employees active in the ministry of the church, at any given time, Elmbrook tends to dozens of active ministries. Since the church’s inception, Elmbrook has been a thriving, active church growing at a rapid pace.

Challenge. Elmbrook Church wanted to expand and improve its church communication, solutions for fundraising and donor management, member service, management of finances, and outreach ministry. They recognized that their rapid growth and goals for supporting more ministries in the future required a truly effective church management solution. Elmbrook understood they needed a better software package than they were using to help them manage their plans more efficiently.

“After a disappointing experience with another software package, we decided to try ACS. This was our best decision. Not only does ACS have the most flexible and up-to-date platform on the market, ACS also has the best service and support. Plus, it’s so much simpler to use than our old system,” states David Skroch, Controller for Elmbrook.

Solution. Elmbrook explained their needs to ACS and discovered ACS was able to offer the technology that fit the scope of their mission, delivering the solutions necessary to meet the needs of the church. Elmbrook has relied on ACS since 1994 to help care for its large member base with a complete church management solution, and has since expanded its membership and increased donations to support their many ministries. “We rely on ACS Support and find them to be 100% knowledgeable,” says John Gowdy, IT Manager for Elmbrook.

Elmbrook finds that by utilizing ACS for its membership management, it is able to better communicate with its members, thereby increasing volunteer activity and spiritual growth. With such a large membership, Elmbrook wouldn’t be able to keep track of its membership and finances without ACS. Through the Visitation and Special Mailings modules, Elmbrook can keep track of attendance and one-on-one meetings, as well as send out mailings announcing special events and keeping its congregation updated in every aspect of the church.
