With 6,000 members, Mount Ararat Baptist Church strives to be “A Church Determined to Know Christ” through its Sunday services, Bible classes, and Mount Ararat Theological Academy. Joan Prentice has been the church’s minister to new members for the past two years and feels that ACS is essential in helping her keep up with membership needs and prepare for future growth.
Keeping Track. “ACS allows me to keep track of new members that are coming in and keep the membership records up-to-date,” notes Prentice. “We’re able to nicely track and follow our membership with ACS. It’s a great tool for us. It allows us to do mailings, keep track of classes, and keep track of changes in status of families and individuals. I find it extremely beneficial and user friendly.”
“Overall, ACS has allowed us to stay in contact beyond Sunday. Whenever events are taking place, we have the ability to go into ACS and send out mass mailings. It allows us to communicate with our membership on a more consistent basis,” she adds.

Serving Members. “ACS makes it possible for me to look in the system and find out how the members have entered into the lifeline of our ministry—as far as their participation. I can see what they’re involved in and what their interests are. All of these things help us get to know our members in a better way, and to better serve them, adds Prentice.

First organized in 1906, Mount Ararat Baptist Church has been serving the Pittsburgh community for nearly a century. Mount Ararat believes that preaching is the vehicle God has chose to use to build faith in our lives.
