With over 6,000 members and nearly 2,000 in attendance each Sunday, Ray of Hope Christian Church is a relatively new ACS user as of January 2002. Seretha Crayton, Ray of Hope’s business manager, chose to replace their existing software program with ACS due to its robust financial and membership management tools.
Expanded Needs. “Our old software wasn’t meeting our reporting needs—we weren’t able to capture certain info that we needed,” noted Crayton. “It’s like night and day between the two software programs. We’re enjoying a more expanded payroll section—this is one of the joys of the ACS software for us. We’re able to track sick and vacation time, which we were not able to do in our prior system. Reports are easier to read and much more professional. We’re able to gather more information on employees," adds Crayton.

“In terms of our accounting and finance area our budget reports are easier to read; our department heads can clearly read the reports because they are simple and easy to understand. It saves time for our new accounts. We love it. Liability reports on the payroll side—before we had to manually calculate our taxes—now it’s done automatically.”
Everything in Supply. Most recently, Crayton purchased materials from the ACS Central Services selection of forms and supplies: “We decided to order checks, envelopes, and statements that match the ACS software. The new statements make us look more professional and help us give donors more detailed information. The checks have the security features we like—that’s a big plus for us.”

About Ray of Hope Christian Church
From its very inception, the Ray of Hope Christian Church has had as its mission the dispelling of the darkness in our world and in the lives of its people with the light of God's love and life for us in Jesus Christ. Beginning as a Ray, four persons became 40, then 40 became 400, and 400 have become 7,000+ and it does not yet appear what we shall be. The church is propelled into the future by a clear and exciting vision to become a City of Hope where persons' lives are impacted in such a way that they will transform our present world into the Kingdom of God. It is with this vision in mind that, as a church, Ray of Hope passionately worships our God, love and equip one another, and reach out to unbelievers to bring them into the City.
