Access by Air
Jacksonville International Airport is the gateway to Northeast Florida. JIA is located 12 miles or about 20 minutes from downtown. With 16 airlines, non-stop and direct service is available from most of the nation’s metropolitan areas.
Trains
Daily railroad passenger service to and from Jacksonville is provided by Amtrak, connecting the city with all other locations in the Amtrak system. The Jacksonville Amtrak station is located just minutes north of downtown.
Automobiles
Jacksonville is at the crossroads of two major Interstate Highways – 95 (north/south) and 10 (east/west) – and four U.S. Highways – 1, 17, 90 & 301.
In-Town Travel
• Taxi service from the airport to downtown is approximately $20.
• Shuttle vans, mini buses and motorcoaches are also available.
• The Jacksonville Transportation Authority provides local bus service seven days a week.
• The Jacksonville Transportation Authority operates the Automated Skyway Express, a monorail system serving the downtown area.
• Downtown is served by The Trolley, a complimentary system which stops near performing arts facilities and other locations on both the north and south banks of the river downtown.
• Water taxi service is also available to cross the St. Johns River.
