“I installed the ACS Parochial Report in November 2006 along with the ACS upgrade. I knew it would take some time for me to map out all our data to this module, and I wanted to be prepared to use it at the end of 2007. So, I invested the time to clean up my database and map my accounts to this report module. I have completed the financial section and plan to work on the People side next. Now next year, all I have to do is run the ACS Parochial Report and my official report to the diocese is complete. I may have to map a few new accounts that were added during the year, but that will take only minutes compared to days trying to prepare the report from scratch.
I no longer have to export all of that data manually. Plus, I can input all of the services that we had in the course of the year into this software, which then will export that data for the report. Next year, I expect the parochial report to be really easy. In the past, church staff had to take the manual book, add it up, and do some division to come up with numbers for the report.
