Access ACS Sign Up Guide and Checklist

Before you proceed, please mark all the items on this checklist to make sure you are prepared to continue with your Access ACS sign up.

You are currently connected to the Internet.
You are using a computer with ACS 7.0 or higher installed.*
You are using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. (Download Latest Version)
You know your ACS for Windows User Name and Password.
You have read the Sign Up Guide information on this page.

 

* To sign up for Access ACS, you must be on a computer that has ACS People version 7.0 or higher installed. This is required for the initial process, but after you have successfully completed the sign up, you will be able to use Access ACS from virtually any PC. Just remember, since administrators are the only ones who can approve changes to your data, administrators must approve and import/export data from a computer with ACS installed. Access ACS will work with version 6.0, but some of the new features, like attendance, will not be available unless you are using version 7.0 or higher. If you do not have ACS for Windows products, please contact us.

 

Signing up for Access ACS is easy and includes 5 basic steps:
  1. Read through these steps and then continue the Sign Up process by going to https://secure.accessacs.com/access/signup/agreement.aspx or by clicking the link below to continue
  2. Read the *Terms of Service* on the following page, mark the checkbox to acknowledge that there are charges for using this product, and then click on the *I Agree* button.
  3. At this point, Access ACS will verify that ACS for Windows has been installed on your computer. After it has found your data, please enter your Username and Password - please enter the same Username and Password that you use to login to ACS for Windows. Note: The registration will fail if the Username and Password do not match what you use for ACS for Windows.
  4. A confirmation screen will be presented, which will list your organization's name and site number. Click *Continue* to proceed.
  5. The next screen will ask you to enter the *name* and *email address* of the person that will be the primary contact, or administrator, of your Access ACS database. (Most likely, this will be your own information.) After it has been entered, an email with important login information will be sent to this email address, so please double check the email address for accuracy. When you are done, click the *Create Database* button and you are on your way.

That's it. After you have completed Step 5 of the Sign Up, check for the email. Simply open the email and follow the enclosed instructions. A link to the Getting Started Guide will also be included in the email.
