Church Administrator

I'm the church administrator at my church, and it's my job to create and mail a weekly newsletter to our members. To save postage costs and get the newsletter out faster, I decided to offer it by email to members who prefer it that way.

Here's how I did it...
First, I needed to enable members to let me know how they prefer the newsletter. Therefore, I created a User Defined Field in ACS called "Want your newsletter emailed?" Then, using Access ACS, each member was able to login to Access ACS and mark whether or not they wanted it emailed. As members selected their preference, I would accept their change requests back into my ACS database. So, the next time I created our newsletter, I emailed it to half our membership and saved money from the original church postage costs. Plus, those members received the newsletter quicker and in a format that they prefer.
