Converting Data

If you are concerned with having too much information to key in since purchasing an ACS product, Data Services can help you.  We offer data conversion services to clients who recently purchased an ACS product and don't want to lose all the data history in their existing programs.

Custom Data Manipulation Services

Over the course of time, data may become inaccurate due to invalid entries, deletions, changes, and even staff turnover. Many organizations find the need to rectify this, which can be a long and trying manual process. The Data Services team can assist you with these requests, freeing up your own time for other ministry needs.

Merging Databases Service

If you find yourself in a situation where people in your office are keeping track of their own information on their individual PC’s and you are interested in combining the system for a network environment, Data Services may have a solution for you. We are able to merge databases together from different ACS systems into one. The process takes teamwork between the Data Services team and the people in your organization. Typically, work has to be done in the system after the files are returned to you. Through the entire process, we are here to help address any questions or issues that may arise before or after the merge.

Data Repair

Power outages and network failures can cause table corruption or even data loss. Data Services can help remedy these unfortunate situations by cleaning up data as needed.

When situations arise where restoring a backup to correct an issue in the database isn't an option, data files are sent in to Data Services to rectify the situation. Data Services will work with your information to clear up inconsistencies in the database, go through the tables and correct corruption errors, or correct information that was entered incorrectly. We are here to help you get your database back up and running in a timely manner.

Data Scrubbing

Data scrubbing, sometimes called data cleansing is the process of detecting and removing or correcting any information in a database that has some sort of error. This error can be caused by data being entered inaccurately, incompletely, and/or improperly formatted. The Data Services Team already does an extra level of quality by doing the basic clean up on names, address line 1, address line 2, city, state, zip, date fields and telephone numbers. Our data scrubbing process consists of manipulating data that is not in a correct format that we can easily bring over to our software, for example: Group information including activities and/or classes, user defined fields and categories/lists. This process also entails cleaning up the data so the data is consistent. For example, you have a user defined field called Occupation with values of Admin Assist, Adm Asst, and Administrative Assistant with this service they would all be changed to Administrative Assistant.

Excessive Programming

Excessive Programming is defined as additional programming intervention requiring more than one hour of added programming time to extract the data beyond basic personal information or when additional programming is required to extract data from a separate data set and/ or more than one separate program.  A Data Conversion Preview would be required and a Data Conversion Analyst will contact you regarding if we can convert the data and an estimated cost of completion.

ACS Version Upgrades

Data Services can even help you update your system quickly and efficiently if your version is older than the current version of ACS and you decide to upgrade.
