Important news regarding the support of older Microsoft operating systems
Back on October 15, 2002, Microsoft announced a new support life-cycle policy.This consistent and predictable policy is designed to standardize support guidelines across product lines and will cover most products currently available via retail purchase or volume licensing and future product releases. Product life-cycle policies provide advanced notification of planned changes in product availability and support. This information helps customers and partners with product planning and information technology decisions.

Because of the guidelines from Microsoft regarding its supported product lifecycle, with the next release of our product in 2005, which will be version 8.0, ACS Technologies will not provide support for our products within the Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows ME operating systems. However, we will do limited testing on Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows ME to accommodate migrations to newer operating systems. This means that we will test the very basic functionality of our software on the previously mentioned operating systems. Subsequently, after January 1, 2006, ACS Technologies will not make any guarantee about our products related to: Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows ME. Please take the time to evaluate your current systems and determine any necessary maintenance to stay in synch with this world-wide lifecycle practice.
How This Affects Windows 98 Users
At your earliest convenience, we suggest you upgrade your operating system to Windows 2000 Professional or XP Professional for your workstations and Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003 for the server. Please contact your local computer provider for license information.
