ACS Certified User Program

 

Since 1978, ACS Technologies has provided industry-leading church management software, school administration software, and denominational office software and services.  As a result, many ACS users are very knowledgeable and experienced in our products. We are announcing our ACS Certified User Program to ensure affirmation of these skills, competencies, and expertise needed to support ACS in your organization.

 

Why Should You Certify?

Individuals who meet certification requirements will be awarded from the ACS Certified User Program. This program is intended for individuals in organizations that currently use the ACS products and services that want to have more opportunities for visibility and effectiveness.

 

In your organization and in the faith-based job market, becoming an ACS Certified User will increase:

  • Competency through a combination of testing and on the job experience
  • Productivity by learning time-saving tips & tricks
  • Motivation in knowing what YOU have accomplished

 

You will also be entitled to benefits such as:

  • Initial eligibility requirement for Certified Trainer Program.
  • Eligibility to participate in focus groups to help shape the future of ACS products.

 

Should you decide to relocate, your prospective employers will appreciate:

Why Should Your Staff Certify?

Organizations that encourage the ACS Certified User Program produce more productive and competent staff that sets them apart from other organizations.

 

Incorporating an ACS Certified User program in your organization will:

  • Enhance ability of your staff to efficiently handle ACS operations.
  • Ensure standardization throughout your organization for better results.
  • Increase proficiency and competence measured by ACS Technologies.

 

The computer industry has increasingly recognized those that have certifications. Taking time to certify and train your staff will result in a win-win situation.

 

Steps to Certification

  1. Use the ACS Certified User Prep Guides to review your product knowledge. Apply your training by practicing your skills before taking the certification exam.
  2. Try the ACS Certified User Practice Test
  3. Apply to take the ACS Certified User Exam through the ACS store (https://store.acstechnologies.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=89)
  4. Within 24 business hours of completing the application, you will receive login instructions for accessing the exam(s) online. Take each exam at your convenience.
  5. Upon successful completion of the exam (score of 75 or higher), you will receive an ACS Certified User certificate to display in your office and an electronic signature you can use on e-mails an online user groups that will identify you as a certified ACS user.

 

Retake Policy

In the event that you should fall below the required score for successful completion of the exam, you will be allowed to retake the exam at an additional charge. The first retake may be scheduled at any time. However, if that retake is also unsuccessful, you will need to wait at least a month before taking the exam again.

 

Recertifying

ACS can offer you continuous learning with a wide variety of opportunities to learn more about ACS products and solutions. Each certificate is tied to the version of ACS at the time of certification. We recommend keeping your skills current through recertification. 

 

In order to stay informed of updates to the ACS Certified User Program, please be sure to notify us of any changes in mailing address, email address, and phone numbers, etc.

 

Costs

Certification exams - $25

Next version upgrade exams – 1st attempt at no charge

Retakes - $25

 

Explanation of Limitations

  1. ACS Technologies is not liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or other damages whatsoever arising out of the direct actions of an ACS Certified User.
  2. ACS Certified Users are not authorized to conduct training sessions covering ACS solutions or to receive payment for conducting training on ACS solutions outside of the church/organization of which they are a member or that is their primary employer.
  3. All logos, information, materials, software or services are provided by ACS Technologies and should not be distributed for personal gain.
  4. End-users may represent themselves as ACS Certified Users only. They cannot represent themselves as ACS Representatives, Certified Trainers, etc.
