December 18, 2017, Florence, S.C. - ACS Technologies®, the world’s leading provider of church management software and service solutions, awards Marvin Owen the title of President Emeritus after 34 years with the company. As an owner and member of the Board of Directors, Owen will continue to govern the company toward continued future growth while strategically working alongside key churches and other businesses to identify and achieve increasing value for all churches and denominations.

Owen joined ACS Technologies as a programmer in 1983 and was instrumental in writing the initial code for ACS software. He has served in several positions since, including Programming Manager, Vice President and General Manager from 1998-2014, and President from 2014-2017. Owen has not only helped steer the company to substantial growth in revenue, employee size and clients served, but has also helped establish the company’s reputation as the leader in the Church Management Software (ChMS) industry. ACS Technologies is known for being the most trusted and respected ChMS provider.

“Serving the Church with excellence is the most important thing to me and to this company,” says Owen. “Helping our clients fulfill their mission is the driving force behind everything we do here. I’m honored to continue working with them, advocating for them, and finding new ways to help them do the work they’ve been called to do.”

Moving forward, as an ACS Technologies’ ambassador, Owen will be meeting with church leadership and staff across the country, listening and learning to identify the best ways to solve their most acute needs. He will also work with business leaders seeking alignment strategies for combined benefit to those same church needs. Owen is a widely recognized thought leader in the church technology space and will continue to be a keynote speaker at the annual Ideas to Impact Conference (www.ideastoimpact.com) as well as speaking at other local and national events.

“We’re all excited to see where this new role takes Marvin and the company,” says Paige Tuttle, Chairman of the Board. “Marvin has a passion for serving the Church, and we believe this transition will give him the opportunity to expand his influence to work with even more of the churches he holds dear. He will also be representing his fellow owners in building stronger partnerships with other companies. Both will positively impact the company and our clients.”
