System Requirements for PDS
Choosing OnDemand vs Installed
When considering PDS as your church software solution, you'll need to decide if you want to use our popular OnDemand service or install the program(s) locally to your computers. With OnDemand, you can access PDS from anywhere over the Internet. With local installation, PDS is installed on the computers in your church offices; it limits your staff members to work from your church.
Most new clients choose the OnDemand option because of its remote accessibility and they don’t have to perform software updates. OnDemand handles software maintenance, database networking, and upgrades for you internally. If you prefer to install locally, we do offer services to assist you when you perform any of those ongoing tasks.
PDS OnDemand
Take advantage of PDS OnDemand and work remotely from virtually anywhere with a PC or Mac. With OnDemand, PDS is not physically installed on any employee or volunteer’s computer. Instead, we set up a computer remotely for your staff to access a hosted version of PDS over the Internet. In addition, we will do all the operating system updates, hardware maintenance, and version upgrades for you. All your staff needs to do is login.

Mobile Devices
To complement PDS OnDemand, we recommend using the free iPad or Android OnDemand apps. These are great for simple tasks such as viewing information or looking up records. A traditional computer or laptop is better suited to handle OnDemand's administrative functions such as entering contributions, taking attendance, and entering records. PDS (Installed)
If you prefer to keep everything in-house and connect to your office network, make sure your computers meet PDS System Requirements before you install PDS. And keep in mind that your performance will vary based on hardware configurations, network traffic, and local workstation settings.
