History

Established in 1957 as a mission in a two-car garage, Redeemer Episcopal Church now serves more than 350 families and continues to grow as they reach their community in Jacksonville, FL. Redeemer directs many of its outreach efforts at being a friendly community where everyone is welcome to seek and be found by God. With a vision to love God and bring people to Christ, Redeemer looks to being a diverse and welcoming family of Christians to fulfill their ultimate goal.

Challenge

With dozens of ways for members to get involved and a ministry team that is continually on the go with their various efforts to serve, Redeemer Episcopal Church needed a reliable, all-in-one tool to keep everyone connected throughout the week. It was vital in the life of the church to have something that will help them get the backend needs completed quickly and accurately so they could focus on sharing the life-giving way of Jesus with the residential communities surrounding them.

History

With almost 2,000 members, Fellowship Bible Church makes every effort not to compromise the close family feel that is essential for growth and connection within the Body of Christ. Their mission, to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus who love God passionately and love others unconditionally, is carried out by Senior Pastor, Dr. Crawford Loritts, who has brought biblical truth to the Roswell area for decades.

Challenge

The family aspect is certainly an integral part of Fellowship, as it extends even beyond their immediate congregation. Countless groups and ministries are available to care for the less fortunate and anyone in need of help, and their support groups range from helping those with financial difficulties to hospitalization to different communities for men and women to express their opinions and be heard.

With dozens of programs to volunteer or take part in, Fellowship Bible Church needed an all-inclusive administrative software to organize groups and events and that would be able to develop with them as the church grows. The staff at Fellowship knew one of the greatest challenges would be finding a way to track member involvement, especially with an audience consisting of thousands of people.

Solution

Fellowship Bible Church ultimately turned to Realm to meet the needs of their growing church family. With it, they have been able to trace people’s contributions and participation in ministries or discipleship. Plus, the invaluable web-based tool has helped Fellowship Bible Church provide and track the small groups needed to build real engagement and connection with members and guests alike. They are able to keep up with the large congregation to ensure no one falls by the wayside and that every person is brought into the community and family that is Fellowship Bible Church.

History

Founded in 1989, Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville, Ohio, quickly found their calling when the church grew from 16 people to more than 1,000 in just 10 years. Now, SHBC stands as a beacon of light for the community with their focus on missions, community outreach, and developing connections with people as they strive to fulfill their vision of building generations for Christ.

Challenge

SHBC has more than 44 ministry programs designed to serve all age groups within the church. In addition to all of those programs, SHBC recently opened a second campus in Utica, Ohio, and has a school, a preschool, and more than 1,000 volunteers to manage.

With the ultimate goal of becoming a multi-generational church focused on loving, living, and leading like Jesus, SHBC needed a tool that would enable them to connect and communicate with leaders, members, and visitors throughout the week while tracking discipleship progress and engagement. SHBC needed to unify everyone and to keep them moving forward toward reaching spiritual maturity without letting any of their 1,300+ weekly attendees fall through the cracks.

Solution

Realm helps the SHBC staff keep people progressing on their individual discipleship journeys. Using custom Pathways, staff, leaders, members, and volunteers can easily find their places to serve and grow individually and together as a church regardless of their age or experience with technology. Church leaders are able to view profiles on each member through the Realm Connect app and follow up with their congregants on a regular basis to make sure each person is connected and engaged with the church family.

Where are they now?

SHBC is growing members of the congregation by equipping them to become active disciples who go out into the world and love people like Jesus. They’re connecting with children and adults alike, and their ability to track each attendee’s development is helping them continue to improve their ministries to best reach all ages for the Gospel.

History

Over 100 years old, Friends Church in Yorba Linda, CA has spent decades committed to becoming a community of Christ-followers dedicated to changing the world. Their mission is to create a community of authentic Christ-followers committed to reaching the world. That mission comes into practice in their efforts to plant churches to reach lost communities. Friends Church has already planted 2 churches and has set the goal to plant 10 churches total by 2029, five English speaking and five Spanish speaking.

Challenge

The desire to create a community of believers starts with connecting people on a personal level. Friends Church needed to connect members, visitors, and staff in a meaningful way. That would require a reliable church management software that would enable them to build friendships and mentorships within small groups without letting anyone fall through the cracks or become disengaged from their fellow believers. Senior Pastor Matthew Cork says that without good systems in place, congregants very easily get disconnected from the church.

Solution

Realm changes the way Friends Church creates community by providing a simple, quick way for members to be communicated with, connected to, and prayed for through the news feeds, profiles, and groups. With Realm, Friends Church is able to accomplish what they set out to do: connect their people and build a community together. Through the Realm Connect app, it’s become easier for members to connect, find life groups, register, and more in one place.

Hermitage Hills

History

Hermitage Hills Baptist Church stands as a symbol of hope in its growing community. Their mission is “seeing people experience life change through Jesus Christ” and they’re working hard to fulfill that mission. Just down the road from Nashville, Hermitage Hills Baptist is passionate about what happens outside of their church walls.

Challenge

The people at Hermitage Hills Baptist believe life is better together, and not meant to be experienced alone but in community. They needed a system to help them communicate and continue to invest in each other’s lives when they’re outside the walls of the church. And with such a heavy emphasis on reaching the lost people in their town, Hermitage Hills needed something that would help them manage events, follow up with visitors, and track discipleship processes that wouldn’t take their focus off of ministry.

Solution

When Hermitage Hills began using Realm, they were able to pull people together beyond Sunday morning services. Their LIFE Group Ministry uses Groups within Realm to send messages, share prayer requests, and plan events to help people connect and build relationships on a daily basis. As a church, Hermitage Hills is also able to help their attendees buy into the mission of seeing life change through Jesus as they grow together and reach out to those in their community who need hope with resources that help them engage with the ministries of the church.

With tools specifically designed to manage events, track discipleship journeys, communicate, and connect, Realm has helped Hermitage Hills focus on accomplishing their mission by saving time and effort and giving them one easy place to monitor the health of their church.

History

Clemson Presbyterian Church, situated at the edge of Clemson University, has been given a unique opportunity to serve both the university community and their community at large. The church’s story is a reflection of who they are today – their origins, their demographic, their ministry, and their vision for the future. Founded nearly 30 years ago by university students and community members alike, Clemson Presbyterian has always had a strong relationship with the local university students.

Challenge

Since their beginnings, the church has been dedicated to fulfilling their vision: “To impact the community and the world by making disciples of countless university students and community members who are transformed by the Gospel and are serving others.” But they’re not merely reaching out to the college community in which God has placed them. They’re developing lifelong relationships with the thousands of college students who are looking for a church home. Many students view their college years as a time to simply attend a church and then move on, but Clemson Presbyterian encourages students to become a part of their church family. They want to connect with them, engage with them, and build them up as disciples.

To do this, Clemson Presbyterian realized their staff and members needed a tool that people would actually use to truly connect their whole church all the time. They needed something to help them track attendance, connect students and visitors with groups, and especially stay connected with their congregation year-round, even when students are back home for the summer.

Solution

Clemson Presbyterian turned to Realm to help them connect on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis with members and visitors whether they’re in Clemson or anywhere around the world. With constantly shifting attendance numbers because of the large percentage of college students in and out of their doors, Clemson Presbyterian can now keep up with those students wherever they are and continue to invest in their lives without compromising their focus on regular attendees living permanently in the area.

History

Since its founding in 1959, Lutheran Church of the Ascension in Northfield, IL has been creating faithful servants of God. The church’s vision is to be a vibrant, progressive church that welcomes all who want to work in Jesus’ name. Its members are united in that vision, and they live out that calling by serving the community.

Challenge

Ascension was thriving through their community outreach program, but they were having some difficulties effectively reaching their church body and bringing people in. Ascension’s staff and congregation needed to stay connected throughout the week and have a vehicle for tracking attendance and the overall health of their ministry, all in real-time.

Solution

The people of Lutheran Church of the Ascension needed a place to not only connect their members but also a way to go outside of the church walls to do ministry whenever and wherever they were called to go. With the Realm Connect mobile app, they’re now able to both build their church family and serve their local community.

Unexpected Benefits

Ascension moved to Realm with the goal of improving connection and communication. What they weren’t expecting was the immediate benefit of having integrated eGiving. Since they began using Realm in May of 2015, they’ve seen a 35% increase in the total giving each year and they now receive more than 30% of their gifts online. This bump in annual giving allows Lutheran Church of the Ascension to increase their ministry efforts and use the extra resources to further their mission.
