Working from home during COVID-19 can definitely make things such as reporting and keeping your staff informed a little more difficult than usual. However, it’s during times like these when being able to easily and quickly report on your church’s giving is so important.
Using the Giving Dashboard and Predefined Giving Reports in Realm, you can view your church’s giving health and share it with your pastor or other staff members. This allows you to be able to share true giving statistics with your church family so they know how COVID-19 is affecting your church.
Giving Dashboard
The Giving Dashboard in Realm gives you a quick overview of your church’s giving. You can see a breakdown of what percentage of giving is going to each fund, as well as a comparison chart of giving during two defined time periods. The Payment Type Summary shows you how much is contributed and what way it was given, such as by check, cash, credit, or other. If you are interested in seeing what age groups are giving the most or least, you can also see the Total Giving by Age and Average Gift by Age.
A great way to use the Giving Dashboard to gauge where your giving stands today versus the months prior to COVID-19 is by using filters. Filter the dashboard to show the last 12 months, and if you are like most churches right now, you can probably see a decrease in your giving since you have had to close the doors of your church.
If you click on any point in the graph (or any other part of any of the dashboard graphs), then you will see a list of the donors that fit that category. You can use this list to send an email directly from Realm, or add them to a Group or Pathway.
Predefined Giving Reports
Realm makes it easy for you to report on giving by providing you with predefined church reports. These reports are already set up in Realm and ready for you to filter or use as is. Just as the chart on the Giving Dashboard shows you a comparison between two time periods, you can also use the Giving Comparison report to break that down even further.
You can filter the Giving Comparison report to show the month leading up to the Coronavirus versus during Coronavirus. This allows you to see the true state of your giving during the pandemic. You can export and email this report, or save it to My Saved Reports and then share it with other staff members straight from Realm.
The Giving Dashboard and Predefined Giving Reports make it easier and quicker for you to see and understand where your giving is today as well as compare it to where it has been in the past. In times like these, giving is still a need for churches, and sharing that information among your church family can help them to understand how important giving is to your ministry.
