Mary is an Associate Product Manager in our Product Management Department. She began working at ACS Technologies in 2012.
One of Mary’s top personal goals in life is to be a blessing to her family, friends, and colleagues. She received her undergraduate degree at Furman University. Mary recently received her MBA from the University of South Carolina. She developed effective management and decision-making skills while there. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. They don’t have to be doing anything extravagant — just going to eat Mexican food or watching Netflix makes her happy.
Let’s check out what her typical workday looks like, why she loves working at ACST, and her driving passion for the church.
What does a typical day look like at ACST for you?
My job is to identify what software we can build that helps churches solve problems. To do this well, I need to understand what a local church experiences daily. My days are filled with meetings. I talk with church staff, lay leaders, and even congregants to learn more about their roles and work in the church. I also talk with my colleagues at ACST — everyone from the development teams that build Realm to the customer-facing teams that sell it — to help ensure that software enhancements and new features are implemented successfully.
What do you love most about working at ACST?
I love that we have the opportunity to make life easier for church staff. It means the world to me when Realm users tell me the latest feature or enhancement saved them time. Time is one of the most valuable resources a church has, and I love that ACST plays a small part in making a church more efficient so that its staff and leadership have more time to commit to ministry.
What is your driving passion for the Church?
My passion for the church is to serve and support the purposes of the church in whatever ways the ministerial staff needs. This could be anything from leading a retreat for the youth group to setting up tables for a senior adult dinner. Over the past year, this changed to zooming with my Bible study group, liking and sharing online services, and giving online.
