acs technologies employee drake

This week we want to introduce you to Drake.
He is an Associate Business Development Manager.

Born and raised in Florence, Drake Hoffman studied political science at Clemson University. His wife, Hannah, and he welcomed their son, Parks, in September 2021. His family also includes an 11-year-old cat named Gucci, a 2-year-old wild and crazy Golden Retriever named Jack, and a sweet 10-year-old rescue dog named Baylee.

Drake’s ideal day off? He loves to play golf. “It’s funny because I always thought it was boring and not for me. I got the ‘golf bug’ 5 years ago and it is one of my favorite things to do now.” But really, any day off spent with his family is his favorite: “We like going to the beach, finding nature trails to hike or swimming in the ocean with our two dogs who love the water.”

And just ask about his secret hobby: “I am known as a serial hobbyist. I’m really into lawn management. I’ve researched different types of warm weather grasses, soil types and how to best care for them. My project last Spring failed miserably, but I am hopeful for a lush, carpeted back yard this year!”

Let’s check out what his typical workday looks like, why he loves working at ACST, and his driving passion for the Church.

Describe a typical day at ACST for you?

Starts off with water, coffee, and a prayer for the Lord to go ahead of me and bless my day. I work internally with all of our departments (IT, Marketing, R&D, Sales) to ensure that MissionInsite is the best product for our ministry partners. I also work daily with ministry partners across the country — from individual churches to denomination offices and consultants — to help them better understand their communities, their neighbors and how to best serve and bless them.

Tell us what you love most about working at ACST?

The people. Not only all the great folks I work with at the company but also the clients we serve. We share a common desire to help people, build relationships and grow the Kingdom.

What is your driving passion for the Church?

Relationship building. The Church is a community. To disciple, to worship, to be a beacon of light. That all stems from establishing meaningful relationships with people.
