A Busy Week at the 2012 Ideas to Impact Conference

Have you ever had a week with so much activity and excitement that you need a weekend to crash and recover?  Well I have had at least 25 weeks like that.  Last week was the 25th annual ACS Technologies conference and I have been fortunate enough to attend each and every one.
Our meeting in Atlanta last week has to be the best conference ever.  Attendance has been down at our annual meeting since the economic downturn in 2008, but I am happy to report that this year’s attendance of 850 clients was a record year.  Due to the close proximity of Atlanta to our home office in South Carolina, we were able to take more of our staff this year and when you include clients, staff, and exhibitors, there were 1000 people at the conference.
The training group exceeded attendee expectations by offering 219 classes over the three days in Atlanta, offering classes for clients who use ACS, PDS, The City, and HeadMaster.  What’s most impressive about the curriculum were the 50 ministry impact classes lead by church leaders.  While the staff of ACS Technologies knows our products well, the true experts on applying the software to meet the needs of the church are the people that use it every day.
If you were not able to attend this year’s conference, go ahead and block out the week of April 9th in 2013.  The conference will be returning to Orlando! Maybe we both can plan for some post-conference vacation time with Mickey.
