Security

Security is the top concern for IT professionals around the world. Long gone are the days where only large companies and governments have to be worried about hackers and bad actors. Today, cybersecurity is a billion dollar industry and anyone who uses the Internet is a target;  churches and nonprofits are not immune.

At Higher Ground Managed IT, our relationship with our ministry partners is built on trust. Protecting your data is a responsibility we take very seriously and we leverage our 20+years of experience and IT expertise to help our ministry partners to become more secure.

There are several ways we can partner with you to enhance your security:

Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

  • EDR is a system that goes beyond antivirus (AV) protection.
  • EDR defends your computers and network devices by adding intrusion detection, email and browser protections to an antivirus module that enhances its ability to detect and protect against a much wider range of threats.
  • Our EDR solution includes a Security Operations Center (SOC) for 24/7 365 monitoring of your systems for threats and bad actors.

Vulnerability Scans

  • Vulnerabilities come from aging operating systems (OS), unpatched software on your computers, open networks, and hundreds of other places.
  • Vulnerabilities affect all organizations, and many go unnoticed
  • Our scans identify vulnerabilities and we tell you how to protect your systems from them.
  • We offer quarterly scans to ensure  no new vulnerabilities have arisen since the last scan and the previous ones have not resurfaced.

Phishing as a Service (PhaaS)

  • Phishing is a cybercrime in which a target or targets are contacted by email, telephone or text message by someone posing as a legitimate institution to lure individuals into providing sensitive data such as personally identifiable information, banking and credit card details, and passwords. The information is then used to access important accounts and can result in identity theft and financial loss.
  • Phishing is currently the top cause of cybercrime in the U.S.
  • PhaaS is a quarterly training service where we send phishing emails to your staff and record the results. We report the results back to your organization and follow up with educational videos on how to recognize and avoid phishing.
