This week we want to introduce you to Maria. She is the Office Manager at our office in Phoenix, Ariz. Maria has been a team member with ACS Technologies since 2004.
Maria was born in a small town in Italy called Lapio and now resides in Phoenix. Her main mission in life is to help others. While goals are good, Maria places priority on being flexible and knowing that, no matter what, the main mission is helping others. This helps her stay focused even while life is ever-changing. Maria loves photography, trail riding, and walks in the desert. She’s recently learned how to hike long trails and high areas like The Wave in Utah. If she were to ever move it would be back to her hometown in Italy.
Let’s check out her typical workday, why she loves working at ACST and her driving passion for the church.
What does a typical day look like at ACST for you?
My day usually starts with reviewing calls and emails that came in since I left work the day before. Then, I check to see if there was anything left from the day before that needs further attention. Scheduled and impromptu meetings are also part of my workday. If there are any projects on my schedule, I work on them until they are completed. The afternoon often gives way to calls and/or meetings with clients or internal team members.
Before closing up for the day, I do a quick review of emails to make sure that everyone is problem-free and calls that I needed to make have been made. All information and emails are placed in our internal database to accurately note what was discussed with clients, etc.
What do you love most about working at ACST?
I feel blessed to work at ACST because we have such a positive, energetic team. We put out great quality work and strive to become better every day. We are a ministry-driven company and it’s rewarding to know that we are all working for a common goal, helping the churches — no matter the denomination. It’s also great to work somewhere that encourages personal growth! I love working with churches and Dioceses. I know that I am helping them in growing the Kingdom of God with what I do every day.
What is your driving passion for the Church?
I have great faith and believe that we need to help each other. Helping others find their way is so important. I have volunteered as a Eucharist Minister, Adult Education Teacher. Being an Adult Education teacher provides an opportunity to teach others about our faith. I help others find God and continue on their journey in life.
I want to be a part of the living, breathing, and fully alive body of Christ. I want to be deeply immersed in a community where we all strive for the common good and where people support each other, encourage each other, challenge each other, and serve one another.
