Breakthrough offering uses the MinistryPlatform API and MS PowerAutomate® to update contact information from MinistryPlatform to Raiser’s Edge dynamically.
September 28, Florence, S.C. – ACS Technologies announces Dynamic Update, which synchronizes data from MinistryPlatform to constituent data in Raiser’s Edge databases. The service makes use of the robust API in MinistryPlatform connected to Raiser’s Edge (RE) through MS PowerAutomate® and is enabled to Diocesan office RE configurations through the services of Prenger Solutions Group.
Foundation and Diocesan leaders prioritize the accuracy of their contact information, which is comprised largely of parishioners in their respective dioceses. A letter addressed to a deceased person or which contains other incorrect information can offend the recipient and create a relationship problem for the diocese, which reflects poorly on the Church. The majority of Catholic dioceses in the United States and Canada rely on Raiser’s Edge from Blackbaud® to store and manage this critical information. Parishes maintain the parishioner contact information in their parish databases. To keep the data current, diocesan leaders depend on parishes to update and submit changes to the diocese promptly. This process is often slow and inconsistent, so the diocese struggles to keep the data up-to-date.
When deployed as the unified database for all parishes, data is available in real-time for all contacts in MinistryPlatform for authorized diocesan users. Dynamic Update solves the problem of current data in Raiser’s Edge through the PowerAutomate connector. Data is current when you need it. It is also possible to provide updates from Raiser’s Edge to MinistryPlatform if desired.
