A thriving ministry of over five hundred members, Asbury United Methodist Church has served the Little Rock community since 1888.
Cheryl Stanfield came on board as staff for the church 22 years ago in Finance, but quickly took on additional responsibilities. She now helps in every area of the ministry, from helping manage the 50,000 square foot building with ACS Facilities Scheduler, to managing the finances for the church and its adjoining preschool.
When Cheryl first came on board, the church was using ACS Desktop products to manage their church operations, from finances to member management. As she took on more responsibilities, she found the value in migrating to a cloud-based solution like Realm that offered tools that created efficiencies within their processes, especially by integrating online giving.
“We switched to Realm right before COVID, and were able to set up the online giving tool. While it may have taken a little time to get people using it, now, so many give online. Even our Youth Group uses it to take payments for their trips. I love how easily it integrates with Realm and how I’m able to pull reports that I need.”

Asbury serves the community in multiple ways, providing meals for 100+ families through their food pantry twice a month, to serving meals to people experiencing homelessness with other ministries in the Little Rock area.

“Realm was appealing b/c we could get people engaged! Our members can use check-in for children’s church and utilize the newsfeed in the Connect App to stay informed about the church and up to date.”

By pairing the software solutions that ACS Technologies provides, Asbury United Methodist Church is able to streamline all of its church operations with a partner that supports not only its software but also its ministry goals.
