Employees participate in bake-off competition to raise funds.
Florence, SC: October 21, 2013 – ACS Technologies, the world’s leading provider of church management software solutions, held its annual United Way Campaign during the week of October 14-18. This year, employees gave over $18,000, which was matched dollar for dollar by the company, totaling over $36,000 in donations. United Way of Florence County uses these funds by working with a broad range of partners to improve opportunities for people in the community.
For the finale of the fundraising campaign, ACS Technologies held a bake-off competition and bake sale. Kim Ginfrida from the Morning News, Dr. David Wike, Sr. Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Kevin Barron, Pee Dee Foodie blogger, and Wendy Byrd from United Way were invited to participate and select the winners of the bake-off. ACS Technologies employees came out to watch the judging and participate in the bake sale.

They always put forth the extra effort to make sure their United Way campaign is successful. Because we conduct a campaign every year, it can be easy to overlook it or push it aside. It’s companies like ACS Technologies who revive it each year with new energy, using new ideas and our themes to make it fun, that really excel in giving back to our community.” Bird added.
