The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard), created by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., is a data security standard for organizations that handle client cardholder information. It includes specifications for security policies, management, procedures, network architecture, and software design.
Being certificated as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider is a standard few reach in the faith based software market, but it is vital to ensure clients’ credit card data is stored and processed securely. The audit includes vulnerability scanning, document collection and analysis, as well as ongoing scans and penetration tests.
