ACS Technologies® Holds 30th Annual Ideas to Impact Conference

Over 1,000 attend ministry implementation and software training user event in Nashville, TN

July 22, 2017, Florence, S.C. – ACS Technologies®, the world’s leading provider of church management software and service solutions, held its 30th annual Ideas to Impact Conference May 30-June 2 at the Omni in downtown Nashville, TN. More than 1,000 people joined together for one of the most popular church ministry events in the country. Pastors, lay leaders, administrators, and staff nationwide came to learn about the latest tools, ideas, resources, software training, and ministry implementation to take back to grow their ministries.

“The Ideas to Impact Conference is a can’t miss for those who want to expand their effectiveness in ministry by getting new ideas and learning how to use tools more efficiently and in more creative ways,” said Marianne Larson, Director of Finance, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Tuesday began with a variety of workshops and roundtables, designed to give clients, from beginners to advanced users, a deeper understanding of the ACS Technologies products they use. On Tuesday night, clients and staff enjoyed a kickoff event with food, fun, fellowship, and a message from Marvin Owen, ACS Technologies Owner and President. Owen said, “The future of ACS Technologies is strong. We remain dedicated to serving our clients with their ministries as our first priority – not profit like other companies. Our vision is to help you by providing the best, easiest to use, single platform solution with administration, accounting and community for churches of all sizes. A true whole church solution that is mobile, secure, and grows with your staff, pastors and congregation.” The highlight of the week for most was discovering more about Realm®, ACS Technologies’ newest total management solution that is leading the church market in adoption.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings began with praise and worship, breakfast, and dynamic keynote messages that empowered and inspired all to live the Gospel and serve their communities like never before. “God needs some bold witnesses to go and tell the Good News. Tell it! Don’t sit down or sit by. As our goal is making disciples, we can only do it by going and telling it. Don’t quiet the message of God,” Wednesday morning’s keynote speaker, Bartholomew Orr, Senior Pastor of Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven, MS, inspired attendees to stay on fire as they go and make disciples.

Attendees had more 200 classes to choose from during the week. Some of the most popular topics included “Effective Communication in the Digital Age,” “Helping Newcomers Get Involved and Serve,” “Be Brave! Motivate Young Adults for Church Leadership,” and “Implementing eGiving.” The Resource Area was an extremely popular place for attendees to spend one-on-one time with ACS Technologies team members, learn about the latest tools, and hear what’s coming next.

“It’s not just a technology conference, it’s a spiritual adventure!” said Joyce Munt, Administrative Secretary, Pender United Methodist Church. “I was reminded of how important my work is to God’s Kingdom and will return home refreshed and renewed, and motivated to use what I’ve learned to make a positive impact on this world,” Munt continued.

“The 2017 Ideas to Impact Conference was a huge success,” said Marvin Owen, President and Owner, ACS Technologies. “Our clients are our number one priority year round, and the Ideas to Impact Conference gives us such a valuable opportunity to spend face-to-face time making personal connections with them. We’re looking forward to next year’s conference in Orlando,” added Owen.

The 2018 Ideas to Impact Conference will be held May 29-June 1 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL.
